Caledon was incorporated in 2023 by founders David Whitaker, Andrew Cross and Paul Davies looking to leverage their many year’s experience in the UK general insurance market.

In July 2024 Caledon Group was pleased to announce the acquisition of Travel Insurance MGA Voyager Insurance Services Ltd and Insurance HoldCo Somerville Group Ltd.

Voyager has been providing specialist insurance solutions to the Travel Insurance market since 1996, originally concentrating on bespoke scheme placements for clients. Since then, Voyager has grown rapidly by expanding its distribution to the Direct, Broker and Aggregator markets making it truly multi-channel with a number of highly successful, award-winning products, including Voyager Plus Specialist Travel Insurance, Voyager Protect Business Travel Insurance, Able2Travel Insurance, Fresh Start Specialist Home Insurance and Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance.

Formed in 1982, the Somerville Group was involved in a range of underwriting, broking and advisory businesses in the insurance and financial services sector.
